the right decision? What should I be looking for? What is best for me? These questions
may be constantly floating around when looking for which college to choose. However
in this article, Drake University will be highlighted and hopefully, you can

What?
Drake University is a private
university located in Des Moines, Iowa, and is recognized as one of the top
universities in the Midwest. Drake has six different colleges consisting of the
College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business and Public Administration,
School of Education, School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Law School,
and College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Along with six colleges, Drake
also offers 160 student organizations, which include Greek life as well as many
other clubs from arts to sports to robotics.
Where?
Like
mentioned before the university is in Des Moines, Iowa which is a great up-and-coming city. Des Moines has it all. If you want to catch a baseball game, the
Iowa Cubs play in Des Moines. If you’re into politics, Des Moines is the site
of the first caucuses of the presidential primary and home to many campaign
headquarters. If you want to watch a play or even participate in one,
Des Moines Performing arts has multiple performances throughout the year.
Basically, If you want it, chances are Des Moines has it? Not only does Des
Moines have many attractions, but it is also a great landing spot for after

In general, Des Moines
is a great city and has many things to offer.
Who?
Drake is a
predominantly Caucasian campus but has been becoming increasingly diverse over
the past five years. Since 2015, total minorities have increased by two percent
each year and this trend is looking to keep going upward. Drake is increasing
its diversity and is also increasing its international outreach. 143 students
at the university come from 43 different countries. 19 percent of the campus is a part of the LGBTQ+ community. With all this diversity 83 percent of the
students are comfortable with the climate at drake university.
How to Apply?
Drake
accepts the common application as well as a Drake application. Both carry equal
weight in the acceptance process. Score reporting is optional, however, if you
don’t submit scores, you have the option of either doing an admission interview
or an application essay. Again, applicants will not be judged on which route
they take.
